He's Getting There!

After a long night of Kynlie not sleeping the last thing I wanted to hear was another cry coming from the bedroom. I could hear Cayden calling for his daddy in a worried little voice, I knew there was no way Matt heard him so I jumped up and ran into the bedroom expecting the worst. I figured Cayden was having another night terror and was too afraid to leave his bed. Usually he isn't really awake and the most I can do for him is scoop him up and take him back to bed with me. To my amazement he was wide awake with not a worried look on his face. He looked at me and said "Mommy I have to go potty!" I almost didn't know what to do.....I took him as quick as I could to the bathroom and sat him on the potty and he went. I was so happy that he finally did that I wanted to cry! He never once has woken up to go potty in the night!
We have been working with him regularly on potty training and not seeing a lot of improvement, but now I do think I am seeing a light at the end of that very long dark tunnel. He may be the most frustrating, not listening, rambunctious boy anyone has every met but he's mine and I will love him forever just for being him!

Where did my kids come from? Does she realize she's only 10 months old? Does she know that she's not supposed to be doing that? No she doesn't, she's a little fire ball that has to do everything big brother does! Posted by Hello

Cayden likes to push Kynlie while she sits in her Hippo. Kynlie thought it would be fun to stand up, I thought otherwise! Posted by Hello

She's All Ears

Kynlie had her surgery on Tuesday and everything went great! We all got up at 5:00 AM and went to the Surgery Center. Kynlie didn't like the nurse, doctor or anesthiologist that came into the room to talk to us. Everytime someone would come in she would start crying and cling to me. When they did take her she just wailed! We could hear her cry up till they put her under and we heard her cry when she woke up. The doctors said she made it through just great! Plus Cayden was a real trooper, he was a good boy and all he kept saying is "I want Kynlie back. I want my sister".

Cayden taught Chaos to play fetch last night. What a wonder! Chaos was chewing on one of Cayden's soft soccer balls so Cayden took it from her and threw it; Chaos jumped up got it and brought it back to Cayden. He was mad untill he realized that this was a good game. They played all evening! I'm so glad we have a new toy for Cayden to play with. Posted by Hello

Cayden

All right I have to get something off my chest. I may complain that I can't keep up with Cayden and he doesn't listen to me but tonight when we got home from running errands he made my day. We walked into the house, he took off his shoes then headed into his room to hang up his jacket. I was so proud of him! I didn't tell him too he just did it. Little moments like that make up for all the times when I want to duct tape him to the wall!
